EVERY SATURDAY in the month of December will be DEMO DAYS!  We love to demonstrate great products and teach you quick tricks.  If you like learning the drop in any Saturday to pick up a few new tips!  There are different ones going on, some are make-n-takes and others are demos.  Some are free, some are for a small fee.  No registration is required and they go on all day long, so all you have to do is pop on in!  Here is the Saturday line ups:

-December 1st will be Dry Embossing with Jo! Make a cute holiday card in this make-n-take.

-December 29 will be amazing!!  Join Kristen as she shows you all the wonders of the Silhouette!  She will show you how to cut, sketch and more on this amazing machine.  And you will leave with a cute holiday shape!

There are 2 One Hit Wonders this month.  One is on Monday the 3rd and the other is Wednesday the 12th.  We are doing a beautiful Christmas layout that will perfect for Christmas past, present or future!

I am doing both Supper and Cocktail Clubs this month.  Check the calendar for dates and menus!

Stacey is doing the ONLY Christmas album this month and let me tell you it is so cute!  It is a house shaped mini album decorated with Cosmo Cricket papers and done with lots of pages in crackle paint!  It is the perfect little table top book that will look great sitting out over the holidays.  It is on Saturday, December 8th.

The QuicKutz Klub meeting/holiday party will be on Wednesday the 19th and from what I am hearing....you will not want to miss out on one bit of the fun!

Men's Night will be held on Thursday the 13th from 6-8 pm.  We will have a special section for the guys to hang out while the Doodle Divas Elves will do all their personal shopping.  There will be men-inspired goodies to munch on while we do all the wrapping too!  Honestly...how can you keep your men away when we do the shopping and the wrapping while they eat chicken wings?!!

The event not to be missed will be our Holiday Open House on Tuesday the 11th!  We will have yummies to munch on, goodies for all, door prizes, carols (maybe singing!!) and demo stations set up around so that you will learn great tricks and leave with a cute Christmas mini book!  The hours for the party are from 6:30-8:30 so set out your fanciest party dress and put the date in your calendar!

I know....I know....some of you are saying, "It's about time that you announced the winners of the Halloween Can for a Cause Contest."  But I can assure that things have been just a tad bit crazy around here and with all the stuff crammed into my feeble mind, this just kept slipping by!  I apologize to all the contestants for making you wait so long!   Without further ado....the winners are!

What a weekend!

Hello all!

I have to tell you that this weekend whooped my bottom!  Today I am exhausted...but in a good kind-of a way!  The reason...?  Santa Sittings began on Saturday and we had a full docket of babies, kids and pets!  Santa arrived in is beautiful red suit with his bells jingling and his "ho-ho's" very merry!  Now as I sit here thinking what can I tell you next about our weekend my mind is a whirl with finding just the right words to describe all that happened.  So I think I will share with you some memorable moments and random quotes from the weekend.

"Well, I've just about cried all my make-up off today!", Shirley said at the end of watching the sessions throughout Saturday.

Brad, Leisa's spectacular Scrubby (S'Bookers Hubby), came in on Sunday to help us "tweak" the window drapes early in the morning, but was having so much fun just watching that he stayed almost all day long!  He kept saying that he was having such a great time especially when he was flirting with one of the little doll-babies that was having her photos taken!

After telling my husband a few of my favorite moments and showing him some of the photos, hearing him say, "That Santa is a mac-daddy!"

"Thank you, Santa for last year's pajamas.  They were really cute and you got just the right size!  This year can I get some snowman ones?", one of the little girls while chatting with the Big Guy.

Watching as one of our older guys was really giving Santa the once over making sure it was the real guy.  Then personally "loosing it" when I could see the exact moment in his expression when he realized he was sitting with the real Santa!  (Just thinking about it makes me get all teary again!)

"Have you been naughty or nice this year?", Santa asked Henry.  Henry decidedly pointed to "naughty".  Laughing, Santa said, "Well, what would your mama say?"  With wide eyes, Henry giggled, "Naughty!"

Lastly, after the last group left, and Kristen had downloaded all the photos from each day Leisa and I sat around the computer and took a quick peek at some of the photos and the two of us sniffling and crying at the amazing photos!  As most of you know Leisa is an amazing photographer and from looking at just the unedited photos there are going to be some truly happy parents!  If you got to come last weekend I have got to tell you that you have something really spectacular to look forward to!  And if you are coming this weekend, you are also in for a treat!  Leisa will get me for saying this, 'cause she will feel like she has to live up to the hype, but who-boy does she ever live up to it!!  I wish I could be there when each of you pop the CD into your computer and see just what I am talking about!

Now, just to give you a little sneak peek, here is a photo of Henry!  (Enjoy Stacey!)

Sit by those phones!

PS-If you do have an appointment this weekend, one bit of advice....'cause Santa's suit is red, a contrast color works great.  Black, green, tan/cream all were great colors.  White also blends with gloves and trim.  Just some suggestions!

Grand fun at the 2nd Annual Fall Festival

We had such a great time at the Fall Festival this year!  There were over a dozen creative booths for shoppers to browse set up both in front of the store on our sidewalk and in the back of the store in our pretty courtyard.  The weather was so perfect with a nice, cool breeze and not a cloud in a sky.  Our designers had created projects like recipe boxes, photo transfers on tiles, advent calendar, fun & pretty frames, Christmas ornaments and so much more!  We had over 200 shoppers through our doors that day and we were keeping everyone happy and buzzing about all the cool ideas!  Cafe Doodle was open and our kitchen girls were serving up favorites like corn dogs, fondue samplers, popcorn and a huge favorite, funnel cake.  We also welcomed Dippin' Dots (oh boy did I love them!!) and the good folks at Hooker Tea who had some super yummy hot tea samples.  There were three different tables with make-n-takes and there were lots of happy gals who waited patiently for their turn to stamp, ink, glitter and cut!  I must say, we did have some cute m&Ts!  Leisa did one using the new Merry & Bright limited edition Christmas set from QuicKutz and we sold out of that set right away!  Maria was showing all the basics needed to "paper" chipboard and wood.  Hers was a popular table 'cause she was teaching so many techniques.  And then Pat from Technique Tuesday showed so many techniques that I cannot remember them all!  I do know that she ran out of some stamp sets and had many people getting hooked on the Glimmer Mists!  Way fun!

If you missed the fun you can check out the photos in the Photo Album and also check the store for all the Fall Festival projects.  We do have some things left (some of the sold out items are already on re-order!) and soon the photos and design notes will be on-line for all to see!

See you all soon!
