A very good reason to spend NSD at The Doodle!!

I can't even think of what to say here, I am SO excited!!!

Do you remember the "John Travolta story" from about a month ago when we left early and missed a celebrity sighting?  Well, fast forward to today and we have a room full of croppers here for NSD when some of the girls are packing up their cars and get a tip that there were two celebrities at Push Ultra Lounge!  OK...it's around 2am and they close at 2am, so we figure that they gotta be leaving soon, so about a dozen of us run out to the back alley.  We were all running like maniacs and poor Esther patched out on the carpet, skinning her knee and when Maren stopped to help her out she said, "Nooo...keep going..."  Once we got outside we find the police, a waiting car and actual paparazzi waiting!!  Of course we join the waiting people with our cameras ready and guess what?!!!  After a few anxious moments out walks PARIS HILTON AND BENJI MADDEN (the lead singer from Good Charlotte) and they are walking right towards us!  A few of our girls yell out, "Happy National Scrapbooking Day" and Paris says back, "Oh, I love to scrapbook."  Denise (who is close to her) says, "We are a scrapbooking store and we have Chihuahua paper!" and I say, "We are open right now...next door."  and she says, "I'll come tomorrow."  She was so sweet and nice and chatted with us for a few seconds.  Of course we are snapping away, and I am so crazy-goofy-excited that each and every one of my pictures looks like I was jumping up and down while taking the picture....come to think of it, I might have been!!  Not one of us thought to ask for a photo with her or an autograph!  Duh!  Anyway, after our encounter we all come back into the store and download the photos to share with y'all!  I have to say that my new BFF, Kymi got the greatest photos!  So...big thanks to Kymi for these cool shots and for being our "front man" on our fun paparizzi mission!

Enjoy these photos while I enjoy listening to Marni and Maren gushing, "This is the best crop EVER!!"  (PS-That is them in the background of the photo with the pole!)

WOW !! Is this too cool or what !!

What a blast! A wine tasting and a bunch of giddy teenagers. Well, they weren't teenagers but it sure felt like I was amongst a bunch of them. Paris had them all running around and jumping up and down. It certainly would be cool if she showed up tomorrow. The girls will go wild and we may have to pick Jen up off the floor from fainting. Certaintly a weekend to remember. :)

We have to thank Tyler the doorman at “Push” – he saw me drop my whole box of paper when I was walking out to load up the car and he helped me pick it up and walked me to the car and that is when he said that Paris was inside and that I should let Jen know so he wouldn’t get in trouble with Jen (because he had been instructed to advise WSD of any “star” customers at Push).

Maybe I’m just gullible but Paris really seemed genuinely interested in Scrapbooking – maybe she really will stop by WSD tomorrow!

I forgot to thank WSD for the best NSD ever - it was great even before we chatted with Paris! The goodie bag is fantastic and the make 'n takes are great and the door prizes were quite generous! And oh yeah - the Scavenger Hunt was very creative and fun to do!

Thanks to the "entertaining" Jen, Stacey, and Dianne and the very "responsible" Kathy who fed us chocolate cake in our time of need!

What can we say, Paris, our new BFF, was the nicest "star" that we know. She and Benji were so nice to all of us! (Benji even told the Push Bouncer to "chill" and let us take pictures.)

This is definitely the best crop experience we've ever had!

Our thanks to WSD and Jen, who made us all laugh hysterically in anticipation of her encounter with our BFF Paris. (Way to forget the paper for the autograph, we know you were nervous though.)

We need to give a special shout out thanks to Esther, who gave up the fight as our 'man down' in the hall. And if it weren't for Kymi, the $3 queen of the street, we would not have such great pictures of our new BFF.
Cannot wait until next year to see who Jen will be lining up for out meet and greet =)

you guys rock...sounds like fun

GOOD GRIEF, JENN!!
You had me all excited here thinkin' that you were about to tell us that John and Kelly were next door again and decided this time, to take a peek into the store!
Don't get me wrong...I'm really excited for YOU and you're experience BUT GEEEEEEZZZ! Personally, I wouldn't have broken any kinda sweat for P.H. and Co.
But, I'm very happy for you and hope she make's an appearence into the store because THAT would be some great publicity exposure!!

It is only a matter of time before John Travolta comes into the store...I think I'm gonna make it my personal mission to see about that! For me, a self-admitted pop-culture junkie, any "celeb" sighting will get me excited (it probability counts as a characther flaw!! LOL) I don't discriminate...I would have done the same thing for Cory Feldman or Shaun Cassidy!!
Jen

As soon as I saw a brief in TBT about Paris and Benji at PUSH, I had to come check your blog. I knew you'd be all over this! I love it! Can't wait to see you Fri. Did Barbara tell you about my CrafterNoon Tea Sign??? You'd be SOOO proud!
