If you stop in Saturday or Sunday Santa will be here so you can peek at the cuties that will be in the getting their photos with the BIG GUY!! Lots of new stuff hit the floor yesterday, 7 Gypsies Naked journal & Savannah line, Making Memories embossed albums, Quickutz "Jolly" Holiday Gift set, KI Memories Photo Albums (great gifts!) and more more more!
See you this weekend, Jo and I are working the Saturday shift so you know there will be fresh cookies! -Kristen
If you are planning on getting some creative "you time" before the holidays start rolling around, how about you check out some November classes? We will have offer very limited classes in December because as Jo puts it so eloquently, "We have some partying to do!"
Here are some of November's class selections:
THIS Sunday join Kathy for our Off the Page class series. The project on the 2nd will be called "Joys of the Season" and you will cover a small box with your favorite paper and add personal "blessing" messages inside. Then you can join Kristen on Sunday the 16th for the second Off the Page class called "Thanksgiving Tablescape". You will hand craft a coordinating set of napkin rings, place cards and centerpiece ideas. It'll be a beautiful project that you will proudly display. Each of these classes is only $10 and are great for scrapbookers and beyond! We offer these classes in two Sunday sessions-from 12-1pm and from 2-3pm. You pick the time that best suits your schedule.
Monday the 3rd will be our "lunch bunch" version of Novembers One Hit Wonder classs. We will be making one side of a 12x12 layout, that holds one 5x7 photo and we will serve you a yummy lunch of butternut squash soup and salad. All this for $10. Class time is from 12pm to 1pm-perfect for anyone with an hour to spare! We also have the second side of the page designed if you want to add that at class time. If you cannot make the "lunch bunch" time, you can also take the same class Thursday night on the 20th from 6-7pm. You will enjoy the same food and project.
Kristen has created the cutest Holiday Planner to help you keep you organized and looking fabulous this season! This planner is created using holiay patterned papers, QuicKutz and lots more. She'll be teaching it on Thursday the 6th from 6:30-8:30pm.
Stacey's Grateful For... class is back by popular demand. This super cute portfolio album is filled with Basic Grey "mellow" colors and shapes, tags and your own personalized QuicKutz stamping to highlight all the things in your life that you are grateful for. You will love this adorable album and love to display it especially this time of year.
On Saturday the 15th you can get Christmas Card making kicked into high gear and join Stacey and me for our Christmas Card Camp. This is a very popular, high energy class that will have you leaving with eight different holiday cards. Elegant cards, fun cards, classic cards, alternative cards and more. You will work from station to station learning new techniques and also taking with you the "recipe" for each card so you can easily recreate them on your own. This class is from 10am to 1pm and costs $22.
Oh! And don't forget about cropping time! Open crop times are any 'ol time that there is not another class/crop planned and you can bring all your own supplies and crop for free. If you like an organized crop with make-n-takes, the Doodle's non-consumable supplies to borrow including our QuicKtuz stash and tons of food and drinks then you can join us Friday nights from 6pm to midnight on the 7th and 21st or on Saturday the 22nd from 10am to 10pm. We always have tons of fun at our crops and you can get going on those "homemade for the holidays" gifts!
Kristen has been working hard at opening tons of boxes and Kim has been working hard to get all the new stuff up on the shelves. It seems that I am the weakest link here 'cause I have not gotten to sit and blog in awhile, so I have not kept you all up on the latest, newest stuff to be hitting The Doodle shelves. Without further ado, here are all the yummy goodies just in!!
Absolutely adorable new papers (with designer edges!) and chipboard shapes. These images remind me of growing up...can anyone say, "I love the 70's?!"
My new love! (Sorry Charles...) These punches are HUGE but surprisingly lightweight. We have used them for a couple of make-n-takes and Kristen is using them in next months Off the Page class and we have quickly become addicted.
Brand new flower COLORS from Bazzill. Love their flowers...love the new colors!
Tons of new stuff from Making Memories. Oh-so-beautiful! Kim has this tucked in the back of the store (I think 'cause she wanted to save it for herself!) so when you come in to get yours, look for the "Making Memories" sign and you will find them! You'll find them in all their glitter, flowery, journely splendor!
KI Memories! They put out such fun stuff! We just got in their new "Sheer Delight" paper and they have been flying off the shelves. Can you see that you can see through the paper in the above photo? In fact they were a big hit at the Krop for Kids last weekend. Also in is their Christmas line that has great funky icons including great cocktail glasses!
Christmas and Cosmo Cricket...these two were made for each other.
These books are SO cool! Some are premade and others we had custom made. Can you guess which one was custom made?! GO RAYS! And as my good friend Stacey would say, "Did they make it to the Super Bowl?" (PS-We are currently out of Rays books-go figure-but if you want to get on the list for when they come back in call ASAP!!)
For some strange reason, Typepad stopped letting me add photos to my blog post, so I am gonna have to do a "part 2" when Typepad is feeling better!
We will not be having the usual creative café tonight due to our QuicKutz Blitz party. For those of you who still need your creative therapy, there is a free SUPER CUTE “Halloween Treat” make-n-take set up in the café area that will be available to make on your own. There will not be a Café project or Doodle diva for guidance tonight. Sorry to the loyal Café-ers.
If you have purchased QuicKutz from us in the last 6 week you can participate in the Blitz party, see Jen’s email from last night for more information.
Tonight we are going to be making cute gift bags for Halloween/Fall. There are 3 designs for you to choose from. You can make all 3 or just one, it's up to you! The cost per bag is $3.00 (I thought simple is best after last weeks intensive "inspiration" pumpkin project).
The new BasicGrey lines are here and we are working as fast as we can to check them in and get them on the floor. We got the milk chocolate chipboard albums to go with the new lines, which are awesome! Stop by later this week to check them out! And a little heads up... their new christmas line "Wassail" is on it's way!
