We know, we know...a ton of y'all have been asking for us to do a photography class. Well today is your lucky day! Not only are we having a photography class in October, but we are hosting in the VERY talented photographer/scrapbooker, Karen Russell in to teach! How cool is that?!
Karen started off scrapbooking and not only had her layouts published in Creating Keepsakes magazine, she was one of their 2003 Hall of Fame winner. She is also the designer for the Creative Imagination's Narratives line and her products are so trendy that I'm sure we all have something that she has designed in our books.
Karen is also an amazing working photographer who not only has her work in print, but she travels all around the world teaching all about photography. She is passionate about photography and it shows in her beautiful work.
We are so excited and happy to be hosting her class at Whim So Doodle on Saturday, October 23rd. This is a LONG and very informative class! This one day workshop will start with the basics of photography and then move into more advanced and technical aspects like composition, aperture, shutter speed, ISO and more. Karen's workshop is geared for beginners and intermediate photographers with either a film or a digital SLR camera who want to lean how to take better photos. The class starts at 8am sharp and ends at 6pm! There is a one hour lunch break scheduled. You can either bring your own lunch, visit Publix next door or order something quick from the many downtown restaurants located near the store. The cost for the class is $135 and you'll need to bring your camera, any lenses you own and the manual.
