Beginning Scrapbooking Basics

In this class Lynnette will explain basic tools and adhesives used in creating your scrapbook, how to organize your photos, and create your scrapbook layouts. You will also learn matting techniques used to put the spotlight on your photos.
Copic Advanced – “Blue Birds of Happiness”

Copic Advanced classes are designed to take you beyond the art of coloring – new and different techniques each month. We’ll be using a monochromatic color scheme using the Blues. We’ll be airbrushing in the backgrounds of your choice. Join in the fun and make it a sunny day or a rainy day…the blue birds will still be singing. What to bring: B0000, 000, 00, 01, 02, 04; YG01, 13, 17; E35, 37 in addition to your regular card making tool kit to include your paper trimmer, scissors, adhesives and pop dots.
Copic Basic – Let’s Chat

Liz Thogersen is the Doodle’s Intermediate Certified Copic Designer and brings a new technique to this class…and look at the fabulous Impression Obsession you will be using for your designs. Heritage Accordion Mini Album

Time flies by! Showcase your Family Memories in a 5"x7" Accordion Mini album that brings old and new together. We will be using modern papers by Studio Calico cut into vintage-style cabinet card frames. There is room for journaling, and there will be stamping with the fabulous Ali Edwards stamps from Technique Tuesday. We will cover several techniques such as layering, sewing on paper (assistance will be provided), and using spray inks. What to Bring: 12" Paper trimmer, Precision Scissors, Adhesives: Red Tape, Tape runner, and Fabri-tac, 1/8" Crop-a-Dile, Paper Piercer, Sanding Tool, Tiny Attacher Scoring Tool, Bone Folder, Pencil and eraser, Ruler.
Introduction to Mixed Media Art
Journal Treasure Mapping Class 1
Teacher: Terry Lee Getz

Terry Lee will introduce participants to the joys of art journaling in our first mixed media class featuring Treasure Mapping. An overview of Art Journaling begins class and questions will be answered pertaining to the AJ process. Next, simple writing exercise will help us define what makes our life meaningful and our personal symbols. Then we will dissect magazines for words and images that support our writing exercise results to create a beautiful unique map that will be the first of many wonderful pages in our art journal. All foundation techniques learned in class translate to canvas or other paper projects and our emphasis is on individual self-expression, no previous art or writing experience is necessary. Please bring: glue stick, scissors, standard #2 pencil, pencil sharpener, permanent black marker (fine or extra fine), ruler, box of 16 crayons, Strathmore 9x12 visual journal or Canson 9x12 XL series mixed media 98lb, old magazines, junk mail, photos.
Luminarte Canvas Corp Purse

We use a lot of sprays, stencils, stamps, Prima rub on, brads and other embellishments for this adorable purse. Holds a nook, ipad, kindle or book plus the front envelope holds your phone!
Melt Art Photo Frame
Teacher: Kristen Klingel
Date: Saturday, May 19th, 11am-2pm
Cost: $40
Come create a unique picture frame with mosaic tiles made from Ultra Thick Embossing Powder and your favorite scrapbooking papers. This workshop gives you access to the Melt Art melting pot, heat gun, and UTEE to make your tiles. You bring the papers and embellishments you want to use on your frame and we will create the individual tiles and attach them to your frame. You can melt small trinkets and embellish into your tiles, please bring anything you want to use with you. Everyone will leave with a totally unique piece of art to display at home or give to a friend. Please bring: (32) 1 1/4" PRE CUT paper squares, super glue or other strong fast drying adhesive, any trinkets you want to incorporate into your tiles.
“Olde Curiosity Shoppe” Album

This class we will be making a nice top table album. The box will be preconstructed for you and any level crafter can accomplish this. The cover opens as a book would to reveal a double page spread and then on the side you have two pull out mini's that hold a lot of photos. Please bring: sander, heat gun, tiny attacher, hole punch, piercer, corner punch, foam tape, red line double sided tape this is very important it is the strongest tape on the market, fabric tac, and if you will be making albums with me I find that the scotch advanced glider is the best, craft mat, wipes (baby or clorox), ruler, pencil, bone folder, craft knife and a safety pin. Extra's for this class: distress inks: vintage photo, rusty hinge, scattered straw and brushed corduroy.
Recipe Club
Teacher: Lynnette DeBolt

At the meeting you will get a pre-cut kit to create a 6x6" scrapbook page designed around that months spotlight recipe and get to taste a sample of the recipe. Each month one club member will have the chance to be the guest chief and share their own recipe with the club. At the end of the year you will have 11 new recipes to cook for your friends and family!

Stamping Card Class

Stamping Card Class to create four "Cute and Fun" cards using Hero Art and Unity Stamps. Coordinated with decorative paper from the Miss Carolina and the new pastel colored Graphic 45 line plus assorted flowers and buttons from Prima. Not only will we be making "regular" cards, we will also be creating an "easel" and "tri-fold" card. Please bring - Basic tool kit for card class includes: Assorted adhesives (wet, dry, foam pop dots and glue dots), bone folder, scissors, ruler and tweezers.

Join us each month for a new tag featuring a creative new Tim Holtz Design. This is a workshop format class and self-directed. Please bring you own distress inks and other consumable supplies. We will provide the stamps or die cuts that he uses each month. This class will be the second Tuesday of each month.
Telling the Story

Lynnette will center this class on creative writing techniques for scrappers. She will give you several creative tips for creating titles and telling your story through you scrapbook pages.
Travel “Ditty Bag” With Karrie

This drawstring "ditty" bag is great for traveling, or a great gift for Mom....add goodies inside. Class includes fabric, ribbon for drawstring, and use of sewing machine.
