Butterfly Wall Art

Join us this week to create a fun butterfly decoration using a Maya Road chipboard butterfly, paint, prima flowers and learn to make your own 3D paper flowers. We will show you how to use Rangers clear crackle paint but it will be optional to use on your project due to the long dry time.

Do you love your Copic Markers? Do you want to take your talents to the next level? Whim So Doodle is offering this series of classes just for you. Liz, Intermediate Copic Certified Designer, will be teaching the Copic Coloring Guide, Level 2: Nature. Each class will consist of several chapters from this fabulous book. Each month, you will know in advance what will be covered and what markers you should have for the class. You will receive printed images from the CD that is included in the book as well as instructor guided instructions for each. You will
have the option of gathering your completed images in beautiful cinch bound binder (included in the class) for yourreference or creating cardsas you go along. Prerequisite: you must own and bring to each class the Copic Coloring Guide Level 2: Nature, published by Annie's Attic. These are available at Whim So Doodle. Please call the store and reserve your copy before you come to class. Alternative Blending and Shading Groups-
The 10+2 Rule - Blending Outside the Color Family - Shadow and Shading Options - Keeping a Record. What to bring: All your Copic markers, to include: B000, B000, B12, B24, BV00, BV02, BV11, BV23, C3, E33, E50, E51, R46, W1, W3, W5, Y11, Y15, Y21, YR14, YR15, YR18, YR24, Colorless Blender. This first class of the series will include your entire Copic Swatch booklet. As you progress through the series of classes, you will be able to update this resource.
Stamping Card Class

Stamping Card Class to create four "Cute and Fun" projects using Hero Arts, Technique Tuesday and Unity stamps. Coordinated with a variety of decorative designer paper. Learn a variety of techniques and see what beautiful cards you can make with ink, stamps, paper and a few embellishments! What to bring - Assorted adhesives (wet, dry, Redline Tape/Scor-Tape, foam pop dots and glue dots), bone folder, scissors, ruler, paper trimmer and tweezers. We will be making 3 cards and 1 card holder.

"Upcycled" Book Art Journal

Have you always wondered about how to alter a book? Have you always wanted to work on an art journal? Have you thought of making your art more environmentally friendly? In this era of Kindle, give an old book a new life by upcycling it into an art journal. I'll break down the techniques into simple steps as you work on the pages of your journal. You'll learn lettering techniques, how to layer stamps, how to freehand basic
sketches, how to layer various paint mediums, etc. I'll bring the books,cardstock, stencils, gelatos, watercolor pencils, stamps, tapes, etc. for class use. You bring the basic supplies listed and maybe a small snack (you'll be in there for 4 hours!). And we will have fun! What to bring: White acrylic gesso, Paint brushes (fine, medium, and flat),
Palette knife , Acrylic paints in various colors, Permanent Ink pads in colors you have, Craft knife & cutting mat, Black ultrafine tipped permanent marker (Sharpie works well), Baby wipes (wet) & paper towels (dry), Heat gun (if you have one), Adhesive.
