Cool CHA news!

 Have I got some exciting CHA SuperShow news for all of you lucky gals getting to go! 

 

First let me go back just a little bit and fill in those of you who don’t know what CHA SuperShow is.  CHA is a buying show that stores in the craft and hobby industry attend, to purchase inventory for their stores.  Each year The Doodle gets to go and stock up on new and innovative products that we just know y’all will love.  This year the people behind CHA have decided to extend the CHA name and reputation to you-AKA, “the public”!  So once the buying show is closed to us, “the retailers” they are going to re-set the show floor with different vendors and open their doors to everyone who wants to come!  There will be tons of great stuff for you to see and be inspired by!* And if any of that stuff happens to find it’s way home with you…well…I guess someone is doing their job right!  LOL

So with all that information and knowing that the Doodle Divas are amazing convention-eers, we decided to take our show on the road once again!  We are dusting off our show display boards, packing up our register and have ordered in TONS of fantastic stuff for you to see and play with! 

This next bit is the really exciting part and I cannot seem to type fast enough!!  OK, so a lot of you got to come to the classes we offered just recently from the uber-talented Jen Starr.  If you were there you also saw that Jill, our store’s owner, was there as well.  I think that when Jill met Jen there was that little light bulb moment and the two began putting something amazing together!

 

So, I would like to announce that we will have none other than Jen Starr in our booth each day running our make-n-takes!  How fabulous is that?  Jen, one of Ranger’s spectacular crafting gurus, will be showing you how to use products from Ranger, Stampers Anonymous and Tim Holtz.  We will have in our booth a huge amount of the products that Ranger offers like:  masks, pigment inks, alcohol inks, distress, crackle, tons of Tim’s stamp line and much more!  You will be amazed at all the techniques showcased in our make-n-take using the products that we all just love to play with!   By having so much Ranger product in our booth and then offering the same at the store, we want to show all you stampers out there that we are dedicating ourselves to bringing stamping back to The Doodle-in a big way!!

Whim So Doodle is famous for the “but wait, there’s more” events, so we have not one, but two mega-talented designers from our favorite manufacturers!  Our very own Leisa from the QuicKutz Design Team will be on hand to show you all things QK.  She’ll have samples that were on display in the QuicKutz booth (you know how we all drool over her samples!) with all the product that goes along with it.  In fact, I hear tell that one of her projects will be the perfect thing to get started on for holiday gift giving-the SRM calendar!  The Doodle will also have the latest QK releases plus a giant amount of dies being sold at 30% off!  If you are a QuicKutz fan, then you need to find our booth right away and come see what we’ve got! 

 

The dates for the SuperShow are:  Friday, July 31^st from 10am to 6pm and Saturday, August 1^st from 9am to 5pm.   To read more about it, please visit the CHA site.   We look forward to seeing you there. 

 

*Tiny bit of clarification here:  the merchandise that will be for sale cannot be the stuff that was shown to the retailers at the earlier show.  It will be current merchandise.

Here I sit.

I am sitting at my computer, having just closed all the windows 'cause it's too chilly outside (NO AC in the house-the windows are my AC!!), and I get a very interesting FB message.  Oh, yeah.  "FB" means Face Book for those of us addicted to that social networking site.  Anyway the message is from a friend who says, "Did you just see Kristen's post?"  I type in, "nope" as I click over to see what is going on and lo and behold I see this link:

It appears that the Divas have been mighty busy since I've been gone!  I have heard stories about getting ready for our booth at CHA, the fabulous extended Jen Starr classes, new QK releases, classes and tons of other stuff, but they are on TV and I'm finding out through the grapevine??!!  You know if I'd have been down there I would be on the highest mountain shouting, "HEY!  Look!  We're on TV!!"  OK, who am I trying to kid?  I am up in PA, sitting in my house which happens to be on a pretty high mountain, shouting, "HEY!  Look who's on TV!!"  Florida or Pennsylvania...doesn't matter.  I have Doodle news, I'm gonna shout all about it.
Seriously though, I really do miss all of y'all and I hope you are visiting the Doodle lots!  See you in October!

This month will be our Vault classes with our beloved Leisa from the QuicKutz design team.  She has created these cute classes using new dies from July's release.  If you were not one of the QuicKutz fans that signed up "sight unseen" for these class, we still have spots available.
